Attorney Fred Breedlove has joined Dorsey & Whitney in the Regulatory Affairs group in Phoenix, the law firm announced today.
“Fred’s arrival enhances our Regulatory Affairs practice in Phoenix, which recently grew with the arrivals of leading natural resources attorneys Dawn Meidinger, C.W. Ross, and Norm James,” said Scott Jenkins, Dorsey’s Phoenix office head. “As a former Deputy Counsel at the Arizona Department of Water Resources and the Division Director at the Arizona State Land Department, Fred’s understanding of complex issues surrounding water rights, resource management, and environmental compliance brings a wealth of expertise to our clients. The energy and natural resources industry has been integral to Arizona’s history and economic development, and we have established a strong presence in the Phoenix office to further our goal of expanding practice areas critical to business in the West.”
Fred focuses his practice on water rights transactions, state and federal land permitting, mining, administrative law, and governmental relations. His experience includes a wide variety of water rights transactions and water compliance issues, assured water supply, water rights due-diligence and permitting, state land acquisition, and National Historic Preservation Act compliance. He also has experience managing and coordinating with state, Tribal, and federal government agencies on non-urban land management and planning.
Fred received his J.D. from Vermont Law School and his B.S. from Western Washington University.
“I’m thrilled to join Dorsey’s robust national platform and its strong Regulatory Affairs practice,” said Fred Breedlove. “I look forward to further developing the practice to serve our clients.”
