Dorsey & Whitney LLP continues to expand its Phoenix office with the arrival of Regulatory Affairs and mining attorney Marc Marra, the international law firm announced today.
Marc has substantial experience helping clients with exploration and mine project development, land tenure, and related natural resource issues. His practice is complemented by both private and public sector experience. Marc trained as both an economist and engineer, and he served as an economics/engineering analyst for a Fortune 500 company for many years prior to earning his law degree. His experience in a corporate environment has covered project evaluation and due diligence for mining and other resource-based ventures, commercial developments, and mergers and acquisitions.
Marc joins Dorsey from Fennemore Craig, where he was a director. Marc received his J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, his M.S. in Mineral Economics from the University of Arizona, and his B.S. in Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona.
“Marc brings experience as both an economist and engineer – with the added benefit of practice in the mining sector. His arrival bolsters the capabilities of our Regulatory Affairs team in Phoenix, which recently grew with the arrivals of leading natural resources attorneys Dawn Meidinger, C.W. Ross, Norm James, and Fred Breedlove,” said Scott Jenkins, Dorsey’s Phoenix office head. “We are thrilled to welcome Marc to Dorsey.”
“The energy and natural resources industry has been integral to Arizona’s history and economic development,” said Marc Marra. “Joining Dorsey provides a great national presence in this industry, including a strong mining practice across the Mountain West region of the United States.”
