In its first three months, the Administration has issued a series of Executive Orders and DOJ directives that target activity termed as “illegal DEI,” and it is threatening increased investigation and litigation activity related to these issues. This session will provide a primer on these directives and assess how they fit into the existing legal landscape of federal, state, and local antidiscrimination laws. We will also discuss how organizations can take a proactive look at these issues by conducting an independent and privileged DEI review to get a full picture of the risk profile and best align policies and practices with the organization’s priorities.
