International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Zeviel T. Simpser has joined the Firm’s Regulatory Affairs Group as a partner in Minneapolis.
Mr. Simpser practices principally in the areas of energy law, regulatory compliance, regulatory proceedings and disputes, regulated transactions and risk management. He has a diversified energy law practice that includes counseling clients in compliance matters, electricity sale and purchase transactions, asset transfers, complex interjurisdictional matters and representing clients in regulatory proceedings.He joins Dorsey from private practice in a major Twin Cities law firm in Minneapolis where he was a shareholder. He has a B.A. degree from Middlebury College and a J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he served on the staff of the Minnesota Journal of Law and Inequality. Prior to law school, Mr. Simpser served as an aide to U.S. Senator Bob Graham, advising the Senator on matters related to energy, the environment and agriculture. He is admitted to practice law in Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota and South Dakota and was recognized as a BTI Client Service All Star in 2014.
