Dorsey & Whitney is pleased to announce the firm was named a winner of the 8th Annual International M&A Awards in the US – North America Deal of the Year category for its work related to the Acquisition of Assets of Veris Gold by Whitebox Advisors.
The awards were presented at the Awards Gala on Tuesday, April 12, at The New York Athletic Club.
Dorsey represented JCM Holdings III Limited, an affiliate of Jerritt Canyon Gold LLC, in the purchase out of bankruptcy of Elko County, Nevada gold mines from Veris Gold U.S.A., Inc. This award-winning deal has also been recognized at the 10th Annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards (Mining Deal of the Year and Cross-Border Restructuring Deal of the Year) and at the 14th Annual M&A Advisor Awards (Real Estate Deal of the Year).

The 8th Annual International M&A Awards Gala honored the leading deal teams, firms and professionals whose activities set the standard for cross border M&A transactions. This year, over 250 companies, representing every major market in the world, became finalists for the awards. An independent judging committee of 19 top cross border M&A industry experts determined the ultimate recipients of the awards which were revealed “Academy-Award style” at the gala.
