Dorsey Partner Cornell Moore participated in a town hall forum, “Panic on Wall Street – Crisis on Our Street,” held in Minneapolis on October 13, and sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus Institute.
Minnesota Congressional Representative Keith Ellison spearheaded the event, and invited Moore to shed light on how the financial crisis has affected the economic outlook for the business community.
Other participants included Mississippi Congressman – and Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute – Bennie Thompson, Rep. Diane Watson of California, Rep. Gwen Moore of Wisconsin, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri, Rep. Danny Davis of Illinois, and Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak as well as community and business leaders from Minnesota.
The Congressional Black Caucus Institute, the educational initiative of the Congressional Black Caucus, conducts research and leadership development with the aim of increasing the presence of African Americans in the public policy and service sectors.
