Dorsey participates in initiatives aimed at strengthening our firm and sustaining our client service mission through diversity and inclusion.
The Firm launched the Dorsey & Whitney Diversity Fellowship program in 2006. Fellowship recipients are first- or second-year summer associates who receive a stipend towards law school tuition and expenses. Information on the Diversity Fellowship program can be found here.
Dorsey is a founding member of Twin Cities Diversity in Practice and participates in its Summer Rotation 1L Clerkship Program each year. Through this program, first-year law students spend seven weeks at Dorsey and three weeks at an in-house legal department.
We are proud to partner with local organizations in the promotion of diversity within the legal community and the advancement of top diverse legal talent. Every summer Dorsey hires several law students through diversity clerkship programs. Past participants represented the Colorado Pledge to Diversity’s 1L Clerkship Program, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 1L Scholars Program and the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice 1L Summer Rotation Clerkship Program.
