Our client and the hauling company had entered into a long-term solid waste disposal agreement under which the hauler agreed to use Potero's landfill in any bid it submitted to Sonoma County for garbage hauling. The hauler nevertheless submitted a bid to the county in which it proposed to send waste to a competing landfill. The arbitrator issued a $3.5 million award in favor of our client, including attorney's fees.
