Overview
Melissa’s practice involves representing public companies, private companies, and private equity investors in a variety of transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, and other general corporate and governance matters. She also assists clients in designing and implementing a customized estate plan capable of addressing client’s goals, using vehicles like wills and trusts as part of the process.
Melissa’s career as an attorney is aided by her experience advising multinational corporations on transfer price planning and analysis in her work as a tax consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Beijing, China prior to law school. During law school, she worked as a law clerk at a California-based tax law firm where she analyzed various legal issues in connection with complex estate planning. Melissa’s law practice is further benefitted by her experiences during law school as a member of the Tax Law Review of the New York University School of Law.
Melissa began her career in private practice at the New York office of a top international law firm prior to joining Dorsey. She also passed California Certified Public Accountant exams.
