
Overview
She earned her B.S. in Agriculture and Society with a minor in Political Science from Iowa State University in 2017. Asher then attended the University of Illinois Chicago Law School, where she demonstrated her advocacy skills by competing and advancing to the round of 16 in the prestigious Herzog Appellate Advocacy Competition. She graduated in May 2021 and was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in October of that year, followed by admission to the Iowa State Bar in February 2022. She is currently an active member of both the Iowa State Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association.
Before joining Dorsey & Whitney, Asher served as a contracted public defense attorney, managing a caseload of over 150 clients across six central Iowa counties. During this time, she zealously advocated for hundreds of indigent defendants, working to secure outcomes tailored to their unique charges and circumstances. Following her tenure in public defense, Asher transitioned to private practice as an associate attorney, focusing on medical malpractice and employment insurance defense, as well as complex civil human trafficking cases.
