Overview

Elise assists a broad spectrum of clients in the healthcare and life sciences industries with their regulatory, enforcement, and transactional needs, offering specialized knowledge related to healthcare data privacy and security requirements, pharmacy law, managed care regulations, and telehealth best practices.

Elise most often counsels clients on matters of state and federal regulatory compliance, investigations, and enforcement, including with respect to data incidents, health care fraud and abuse laws, such as the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, and Medicare and Medicaid requirements. Elise is also experienced in both transactional and operational contract drafting and negotiation, protecting clients while ensuring that they realize their business goals. 

Before becoming an attorney, Elise was a Public Health Advisor at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where her work focused on chronic disease prevention. Today, she uses her background in public health to effectively represent her pro bono clients, including a local nonprofit organization that provides prescription drugs to individuals who might not otherwise be able to afford their medications.
