International law firm Dorsey & Whitney announced that E. Eric Rytter, Dorsey Partner and Global Private Equity Practice Group Head, was re-elected Chair of Dorsey’s Policy Committee. Mr. Rytter is a Partner in Dorsey’s New York Office. The Policy Committee serves as the Firm’s governing board and sets its strategic objectives. Mr. Rytter joined Dorsey’s Policy Committee in 2019 and was first elected Chair in 2023.
The past few years have seen the successful integration of Dorsey’s most recent office openings (Boise and Phoenix), as well as strong growth in those offices. The Firm has increased its strength in the Mountain West region, as well as in a number of key practice areas. The Firm is exploring ways to further build upon the national strength of its Healthcare & Life Sciences and Energy & Natural Resources industry groups. The Firm is also focused on growth in Minneapolis, where the Firm was founded and where it has the largest number of attorneys, and Dallas, which opened in 2017.
“Dorsey has grown in number of attorneys and in financial results over the past few years thanks to some strategic initiatives focused on growth,” said Mr. Rytter. “We are in a strong position to continue that trend, and I look forward to my next year as Chair of the Policy Committee as we continue these efforts.”
Mr. Rytter is well-regarded internationally for his business acumen in advising clients in matters ranging from M&A strategy and execution, to financings and corporate operational matters. Mr. Rytter has extensive experience representing private equity sponsors in the U.S. as well as sponsors based in the U.K. and Europe, in particular with respect to their portfolio investments in the U.S. Mr. Rytter holds law degrees from Columbia Law School and Cambridge University, where he served on the Board of the Faculty of Law.
