Dorsey & Whitney LLP Partner Roxanna Gonzalez has been appointed to the U.S. Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel by Chief Judge Schiltz of the United States District Court District of Minnesota to advise the Court on the selection of a new full-time U.S. Magistrate Judge. The Panel will review applications, interview prospective candidates, and recommend to the Court the five candidates it deems best qualified for the position.

I look forward to completing the work necessary to ensure highly qualified applicants are recommended to the court to fill the role of Federal Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court District of Minnesota.”
As a partner in Dorsey’s Commercial Litigation Group, Roxy represents clients involved in complex business litigation matters in a wide range of areas, including general contract disputes, business disputes, employment disputes, internal investigations, real estate disputes, products liability, and antitrust disputes. In addition, Roxy has experience representing financial institutions in arbitrations and other regulatory matters before FINRA. She also represents commercial property owners in state tax assessment appeals.
Roxy also devotes significant time on pro bono work addressing racial inequality and civil liberties. Most recently, she was recognized by Minnesota Lawyer Attorney of the Year for 2023 in the category of Pro Bono for work done on behalf of civilly committed individuals asserting deprivation of civil rights by state actors.
