Partner and leader of Dorsey’s public private partnership (P3) claims practice, Jocelyn Knoll, has been named to Minnesota Lawyer’s POWER 30: Construction and Real Estate 2023 list, which highlights members of the Minnesota legal community who have influenced the direction of law.
The recognition follows a Denver County District Court decision to zero out a $115 million claim against the Regional Transportation District (RTD) of Denver, for which Jocelyn was Dorsey’s lead attorney, in the largest defense decision in a P3 construction-related trial.
Jocelyn’s well-rounded experience as counsel to public and private owners, contractors, design professionals, manufacturers, and others on large construction trials and projects over the last three decades allows her to quickly digest the technical aspects of any construction claim and offer creative and pragmatic solutions to resolve disputes.
In separate cases, Jocelyn has secured a $74 million arbitration award in favor of a global EPC client, a unanimous jury award of $2.4 million and rejection of Concessionaire’s $50 million claim on a P3 mixed-use project, a $7 million award in favor of a contract manufacturing client, and a $3.9 million award in favor of a mining client. She has defeated other trial and arbitration claims in the amounts of $25 million, $20 million, $10 million, and $7 million, respectively.
