HONG KONG - (November 3, 2016) - International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that it has named long-time Corporate Partner Simon Chan as head of the Firm’s Hong Kong Office.
Mr. Chan’s practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, international corporate finance transactions and sophisticated multi-jurisdictional legal work. A major portion of his practice is devoted to advising strategic and financial buyers and sellers in M&A deals and representing issuers and underwriters in global securities offerings.
He is a law graduate of the University of Hong Kong, speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin and is admitted to practice in New York and England and Wales in addition to Hong Kong. Mr. Chan has lived and practiced law in the United States and Hong Kong. He serves on various committees of the Law Society of Hong Kong, including the International Legal Affairs Committee. He is also a board member of the Hong Kong Cricket Club.
