International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that E. Eric Rytter, a partner in the Firm’s New York office and Chair of Dorsey’s Private Equity Practice Group, has been named Co-Chair of the International Private Equity Committee of the ABA Section of International Law (ABA International).
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Rytter said, “This Committee was formed in 2012 to promote substantive international expertise and focus on issues facing international lawyers who form and represent private equity funds and other alternative investment vehicles, including venture capital funds, hedge funds and hybrids. As more private equity and venture capital activities have international or cross-border elements, lawyers, regulators and legislators in many countries are finding it necessary to be knowledgeable about the international aspects of these transactions. The Committee provides a forum for examining these issues from all perspectives (including practical and comparative), on a country-specific, regional and global basis, and a forum for exchanging views and information, current and emerging issues and trends impacting private equity and venture capital funds and other alternative investment vehicles and their portfolio companies and investors. I am very pleased to continue to serve on the Committee in this new leadership role.”
