Dorsey & Whitney Strengthens Litigation Team In London

LONDON (18 August 2008) – Dorsey & Whitney (Europe) LLP is delighted to announce that Tim Maloney, one of London’s leading litigation lawyers, will join the firm’s London office as a partner in the Trial Department, effective 18 August 2008.

Tim joins Dorsey from Eversheds, where he headed Eversheds’ London litigation practice for many years.

At Eversheds, Tim assisted many of that firm’s leading clients with a wide range of business disputes, including securities, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, public procurement, product liability, insurance and media as well as internal investigations. He has an outstanding reputation for both trial and appellate work, representing leading multinationals and government bodies in their complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters.

“Dorsey’s strategic plan emphasizes growth in London,” said Marianne Short, Dorsey’s managing partner. “For us, Tim is just the right lawyer, in just the right practice, in just the right place. He is a key addition for us.”

“Tim brings strong experience and additional breadth to our already-strong litigation practice here,” said Paul Klaas, head of Dorsey’s London office. “We are growing in London, but we intend to do so with lawyers of the highest quality who fit well into the firm’s collegial and respectful culture. Tim is a superb lawyer, and we know he will be a superb colleague.”

“I’m very excited about joining my new colleagues at Dorsey & Whitney,” said Tim. “The firm’s entrepreneurial spirit, together with its global footprint and international litigation expertise, are extraordinary. Dorsey provides me with an opportunity to further expand my business and financial litigation practice and offers my clients access to exceptional lawyers across a broad range of industry sectors and across a multitude of jurisdictions.”
