New York Patent Attorney Joins Dorsey & Whitney LLP
New York (08/29/08) -- The global law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced that E. Bradley Gould has joined its New York office as a partner in the intellectual property practice. Mr. Gould has experience handling a diverse range of intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, portfolio counseling and strategic management, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, patent appeals, patent opinions, IP partnering agreements, and IP due diligence.
“Brad is a terrific addition to our patent practice,” said New York Office Head, Robert Dwyer. “He is well respected within the New York legal community. His practice is an excellent fit with Dorsey.”
Mr. Gould earned a S.B. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School. He is highly regarded for his ability to act as counselor for a wide variety of clients with intellectual property and asset management needs, as well as technical matters.
“I am impressed with the caliber of Dorsey's intellectual property practice - not to mention the firm itself is ranked very competitively in the nation," said Mr. Gould, remarking on his decision to join the firm. "The IP field is increasing in demands for technical and business understanding. I am optimistic because I feel my background is very complementary to an already outstanding IP practice at the firm."
The addition of Mr. Gould reflects steady growth of Dorsey’s firmwide intellectual property practice. Dorsey partners attribute this growth to the commitment of Dorsey attorneys to helping clients maintain a competitive edge by advising clients on the most effective methods of protecting their technology, and assisting them in patent portfolio strategic issues, patent preparation, prosecution, licensing and related matters in the U.S. and around the world.
